>Alain,
>
>I've just uploaded the lastest version (1.2.4) of GUMS to our
>repository. I accidentally put up a version 1.4 earlier, so please
>ignore this and use 1.2.4 instead. I've added the following things as
>requested by several people to this version:
>1) new LDAP account mapper that matches a DN (not the CN in the case
>of the gecos ldap account mapper) against a DN field in LDAP
>(requested by Shawn and someone else at OSG meeting)
>2) Debug mode in client mapUser command (requested by Tim)
>3) Improved error messages in client, namely: (requested by Tim)
> Could not map user.
> The GUMS server configuration may not be correct.
> Please contact your administrator, or if you are the
> administrator, make sure you have the following elements in your
> gums.config (which can be easily configured from the web interface)
> 1) A hostToGroupMapping element which matches the requesting
> host name: blah
> 2) A groupToAccountMapping (referenced by the
> hostToGroupMapping) element which contains a user group and
account mapper
> 3) A userGroup element (referenced by the
> groupToAccountMapping) to validate membership of the
requested DN
> 4) An accountMapper element (referenced by the
> groupToAccountMapping) to return the account for the
requested DN

[ Item 4 removed because it was removed from GUMS 1.2.4 on John
Weigand's request]

>5) Displays DN of current user in web interface (requested by John Hover)

I always have to dig up the URLs. While we are at it, we should record
these URLs, perhaps in the scripts that make the tarballs, so we can
find them easily.
