Tim,

This is the Gratia probe update I talked to you about earlier. They are
pretty critical. These probes are tough to test due to all the different
conditions. We hope we have this resolved.

As I said earlier today, this important for the OSG 1.0.

The url for the probes is:
https://twiki.grid.iu.edu/twiki/bin/view/Accounting/ProbeInstallation

Incorporate fixes for condor and common packages:

- Correct cleanup of no-longer-useful files in gratia/var/data.
- Improve DebugPrint.py in the case that input contains blank lines.
- Improve logic used in condor probe to decide whether we can use the absence
- of the GratiaJobOrigin ClassAd attribute to infer that a job is local.
- Condor probe is now verbose but prints to main Gratia log.
- Condor probe only assigns grid=Local to jobs it's really sure are local.

Thanks
John Weigand
John says not to do this update for now, because another will come soon.

Tim,

You can proceed with the Gratia v0.34.8 probe update into VDT.
We have finished our additional testing on it.

Tim,

Please ensure you are using the 0.34.8-2 RPMs currently available on the
site rather than the 0.34.8-1 RPMS sent yesterday.

Thanks,
Chris.

Thanks,

We'll work on this soon, but we're completely focused on solving a
security problem at the moment.

OSG VO's and sites have alrady signed off on the OSG 1.0 release. How
should we proceed with testing this? Do we need to delay OSG 1.0 by a
day or two to get some testing on these new probes?

Hi Alain,

I sent all the changed files to Charles Bacon a couple of days ago for
him to test his issues; and we've tested several probes here from RPM
and via dropping the files in to an existing release. I think if we can
get the probes into the VDT and onto a FNAL ITB and one PBS site without
untoward effects I think we're good. I really don't want us to be the
thing that holds up 1.0.

Thanks,
Chris.

Via instant messenger, Chris Green told me to take 0.34.9-1 instead.
