Then I followed the rest of the instructions from here https://twiki.grid.iu.edu/twiki/bin/view/ReleaseDocumentation/ClientInstallationGuide Checking in $VDT_LOCATION, there is no globus: vdt]$ ls backup bin etc extract lib man sbin services setup var instead, globus is here: /home/bdaudert/osg-client/globus The .jar file in question was not there. What I did temporarliy is copy the missing file from an old client version. Then things seem to work fine. Hope this helps? I tested this and $GLOBUS_LOCATION is set to $VDT_LOCATION/globus, which seems to be what you are seeing and where you are finding the jar. Rob Entered on 06/10/2008 at 17:26:12 by Elizabeth Chism: Dear GOC, We recently had trouble with globus-credential-delegate. Thomas figured out that a file was missing in my osg-client installation (0.8.0) (see message below). Could someone please look into this for me and check if this file is also missing in the 1.0 osg-client? When I installed the osg 0.8.0 client everything seem to work normal during the install process. Thank you. It does exist though in /usr/local/grid/ > globus/lib/. This is a known problem in OSG 0.8 (All VDT versions before VDT 1.10.0a) Although it would be hard for you to dig up, this was fixed in VDT 1.10.0a. http://vdt.cs.wisc.edu/releases/1.10.0/release-a.html http://vdt.cs.wisc.edu/rt/index.html?user=guest&pass=guest&q=3217 If you want a fix without upgrading to a new version of the VDT, you have two options. 1) Install all of Globus, even though you won't use the server portions. Install the VDT's "Globus" package. If you're not sure how, tell me exactly what you've installed (or send me the o..pacman..o/ logs/commands file) and I'll tell you how. 2) Edit Globus's client-config.wsdd file so that it doesn't refer to .jar files that you don't have installed. The ticket above has some details, and I can help you further if you choose this route. This is the more complicated route, but it doesn't require you to install additional software. Sorry you had to run into this bug! -alain |
