Alain,

The TeraGrid needs GT 4.0.8 w/ VDT patches so we can deliver a new
Science
Gateways Support kit which includes WS GRAM w/ GridShib for GT.

Can the VDT team integrate the patches and test them sometime soon?

Thanks,

JP

Hi JP,

You probably noticed that I converted this into a VDT ticket, so I can
make sure it happens.

I'm curious: what particular change in GT 4.0.8 triggered this request?
Or is it just a desire to keep up to date?

In earlier email, we agreed that I would work on this in about two
weeks. At that time, I plan to update the patch set, do some builds, and
test them. Once that it done, I'll share the patch set with you.

At that point, I'm not sure when we'll actually release this to VDT
users. It may require some further testing on the OSG's integration
testbed.

Yes, the TeraGrid is deploying GridShib for GT. There are some Globus
WS Core
security changes in GT 4.0.8 that were driven by GridShib for GT.

Charles knows the technical details.

GS4GT required newer versions of two security jars that ws core
installed. Their solution was to remove the installed ones and
replace them. We got ws core to test the newer versions and upgrade
to them, so this invasive replacement was no longer required.
