Hi everyone,

GIP 1.1.0 beta 2 is now ready. Can you fix the version string in
vdt-version before putting this in the test cache?

(currently it's: Generic Information Provider 1.2.0)

Two fixes here: we pipe stderr to /dev/null instead of a file, and
correct a packaging error. This coupled with changes sent to Suchandra
for configure-osg ought to get us up and running out-of-the-box this
time. I hope.

GIP 1.1.0beta2 is now in the 1.10.98 cache. The version string is fixed.


In another ticket about upgrading the GIP to 1.1.0beta0, there is this
info. Does this require any action by the VDT?

Burt,
I am closing this ticket, since GIP 1.1.0beta2 is in the 1.10.98 cache.
The parent ticket (RT #4602) about the pending GIP 1.2 update is still
open.
